urban Churches & Nonprofit Assets Activated for Impact
"Here’s the church, here’s the steeple, open the door... and see fewer and fewer people." Learn MoreActivate Assets for Good
Cities are becoming more unaffordable and unapproachable for millions of people. Churches and nonprofits in the urban core have an opportunity to change that. Churches and nonprofits can creatively activate their underutilized assets for the benefit of more people in their communities.
While neighbors struggle to find affordable and attainable housing, billions of dollars of their assets are being underutilized and undeveloped. Churches, in particular, have an opportunity to make a proactive decision with their assets to serve and engage the greater community through the creation of accessible housing, entrepreneurial catalysts, and gathering spaces. Or, they will likely be forced to make a reactive decision in the not-too-distant future because of declining membership, financial support, and engagement with their neighbors. The Steeple Collective believes the time has come for churches and nonprofits to help build the cities of the future, ones where all people have opportunities to participate, by expanding their imaginations and literally opening their doors. With this in mind, we engage mission-oriented landlords in the urban core and partner with them to activate their assets and fulfill their mission in the process.
